Womer & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary design firm providing Architecture and Civil Engineering services located downtown Spokane, WA.  We currently service the Northwest, with extended services areas in Alaska, Northern California, Montana, and Wyoming.  We provide civil engineering services for rural, federal, and municipal projects throughout the Inland Northwest; which includes design for roadways/highways; site layout/circulation, erosion control, grading/excavation, stormwater, water and wastewater infrastructure for small to medium sized systems, and cost estimating.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of professional experience
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Knowledge in site construction practices
• Minimum:  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.  Current PE License.

Responsibilities:

• Design grading, erosion control, wastewater, water, stormwater, and highway/roadway design.
• Project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and work-breakdown.
• Plan review and other quality management tasks.
• Manage and coordinate with clients and other consultants.
• Develop technical project reports and calculations.
• Use a variety of software applications to generate design plans, specifications, estimates, and calculations.
• Work closely with staff; coordinate with our internal team of architects and designers on various projects.
• Research and implement regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Monitor design drawings to ensure adherence to standards.
• Coordinate and schedule work to meet project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Attend/facilitate meetings.

Compensation:

• Annual Salary: $85,000 to $100,000

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and goals
• Develop architectural designs and plans using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Revit and other design software
• Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise
• Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and interns

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture from a program accredited by NAAB; and able to be NCARB certified
• Mid-Senior level Architect with minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed professional
• Proven experience in architectural design and project management
• Proficiency in Sketchup, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and other design software
• Strong negotiation skills for working with clients, contractors, and vendors
• Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
• Ability to sketch and communicate design ideas effectively
• Familiarity with interior design principles and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Compensation:

• Salary $90,0000 – $110,000 per year
